The building volume of the six apartments was derived from the rural archetypes “greenhouse” and “barn” The repetition of the roof-form is a reference to the typology of the greenhouses in this area of glass-horticulture. Each rooftop refers to an apartment.

The irregular shape of the ground-plan was derived from the building-site and the maximum built-up area. For this reason the roof-side on the left stretches out to one meter above surface. This way the building volume gets the character of a typical 19th century Kempen barn.
