Cremorne House by Fox Johnston Architects
May 2nd, 2009 - Posted in Homes RenovationFox Johnston Architects has designed Cremorne House, an existing 1908 Edwardian style building required reworking into a functional family house. A two-storey structure was grafted onto the northern face of the building feeding living areas at ground level and bedroom areas above. A new kitchen and living area was inserted into the existing shell connecting the new timber addition and deck beyond. Upper level bedrooms benefited from custom made joinery items, new bathroom, and the ability to open onto a north facing deck. Light penetration is via a series of light slots with openings controlled by blinds and sliding screens.
